Sarah Sutherland
Sarah Sutherland is a trained actor and the Artistic Director of Rollercoaster Theatre Company, a not for profit ensemble of neuro diverse and mixed ability actors. She has completed a BA (Psychology, Melb Uni) and holds a Masters in drama and Integrated Therapeutic Methods (RMIT). Over the 15 years she has been with the company she has produced, directed and devised a great many productions for Rollercoaster including the multi award winning short film Comican’t.
Sarah joined Red Stitch Actors Theatre as an ensemble member in 2006 and has performed in many Red Stitch productions including; Ulster American, Desert 6.29 pm, The Realistic Jones, Day One. A Hotel. Evening, That Face, Faces In the Crowd, Red Sky Morning, The Pain and the Itch, Motortown, After Miss Julie and Fewer Emergencies.
Her other stage credits include; Dirty Angels, The Mary Project, Little Time Bombs, The Dam and Can’t Help Myself at La Mama and Forty Five Downstairs. Sarah performed leading roles in MTC's Dead Man’s Cell Phone and The Water Carriers, and with The Flinders Quartet in Behind Closed Doors.
On television Sarah is best known for her role as Kareena in Angry Boys for ABC/BBC/HBO. She has also appeared in several television series including; Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, Neighbours, Stingers and Blue Heelers. Her numerous short film credits include; Tropfest award-winner In Your Dreams as well as The Postman, The Director, When I go, Carcass, The Cuckoo and The True History of Billy the Kid.
