Penelope Thomson

Front of House Manager

Penelope is a passionate and talented performing arts professional with over 20 years experience in the industry working across a broad range of roles. A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Penelope’s designs for set and costume have been seen in dance, theatre and musical theatre productions across the country in venues ranging from His Majesty’s Theatre Perth, to the Hamer Concert Hall in Melbourne. As an adjunct to her design work, Penelope’s natural flair for leadership has seen her work in senior front of house roles for Her Majesty’s Theatre Melbourne, The Arts Centre Melbourne and the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. Penelope has also worked extensively overseeing the child-talent departments on some of Melbourne’s biggest commercial musicals in recent years. She believes strongly in the power of the performing arts to entertain, inform and challenge and brings her considerable knowledge and experience to the role of front of house manager to help further the Red Stitch vision.
