Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne is a Darwin based playwright whose plays have won the Victorian Prize for Literature, Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Drama, two NT Chief Minister’s Book of the Year Awards and four NT Literary Awards for Best Script. Nominations include two Nick Enright Awards [NSW Literary Awards], the Griffin Theatre Award and a Stage AWGIE. She’s a Sidney Myer Creative Fellow, Arts NT Fellow, Winston Churchill Fellow, Regional Arts Fellow and Asialink Fellow, and co-Artistic Director of Knock-em-Down Theatre.
