Hayley Edwards
Acting Graduate 2022
Hayley Edwards (she/they) is a recent graduate of the VCA where she was awarded the Irene Mitchell Award for Excellence in Acting.
In 2022 she became a Graduate Actor for the Red Stitch Actors Theatre where took part in multiple developments and understudied Hollis and Rona in The Amateurs (dir. Susie Dee).
That year she also took part in staged readings and developments for Theatre Works, La Mama Theatre, Forty-Five Downstairs, MKA Theatre, Antipodes Theatre Company, The Anchor Theatre Company, and Tart Theatre Collective. She then performed in Coming Out (Gasworks Theatre), Trash Pop Butterflies Dance Dance Paradise (MKA Theatre) and The Marvelous Life of Carlo Gatti (Theatre Works/Explosives Factory).
Her VCA credits include leading in Earthquakes in London (dir. Sarah Goodes), Pool (No Water) (dir. Leticia Cáceres) and Measure for Measure (dir. Tony Smith).
Hayley also has a background in professional opera and music theatre and has a developing interest in directing and writing. She recently made her Sydney/Gadigal Land debut understudying Oskar, Eli and others in Let The Right One In for Darlinghurst Theatre Company and played Annabelle in The Clearing for Disney+.
