Production Manager
Charlie D. is a classically trained singer, actor, and musician who’s career in the arts has spanned over two decades. An alumni of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) he has worked in Musical Theatre, Cabaret, Opera, Theatre, Music, and Burlesque.

Behind the ‘curtains’ Charlie is an accomplished sound and lighting designer, theatre technician, voice over artist, and audio engineer. Through his extensive knowledge of theatre and the performing arts he has also directed, produced, stage managed, and consulted on a variety of theatre and cabaret works.

Crowned Mr Boylesque Australia 2014, Charlie has performed and wowed audiences in New York, Vienna, London, and Las Vegas where he was accepted to compete for the title of Mr Exotic World at the Burlesque Hall of Fame. He has received a host of nominations in writing and performance from Fringe World, Newcastle Fringe, the Green Room Awards, and Melbourne Fringe where he won The Ballarat Cabaret Festival award.

Charlie’s show credits include; Die Fledermaus, Hamlet, Jesus Christ Superstar, South Pacific, Annie, Cabaret, Oliver, and Cats as well as being invited to perform at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Ballarat Cabaret Festival, the Ellington Burlesque & Cabaret Festival, the New York Boylesque Festival, Boylesque Festival Vienna, the Australian Burlesque Festival, and the Perth International Burlesque Festival.
